The
Modern Collector's Club put on a wonderful convention, with
lots of LOOT! Dolls by Susan Wakeen, Robert Tonner, Effanbee,
Mary Hoyer, Madame Alexander, Ashton Drake, Vogue and others
were there. The
Event Doll was a Gene called: "Moments to Remember Modern
Doll Club Convention Edition"
The MDC Club have been doing conventions
for over 20 years.They did an impeccable job
in running
the convention smoothly as well as being warm and gracious hosts.
The Convention started out with a welcome
dessert wednesday evening and was jam packed with programs,
workshops, a doll competition, and raffle. There were special
events for Eve, Kitty, Brenda Starr, Mary
Hoyer, Alex, Ginny, and Gene. Besides
eating and getting dolls one could visit the sales room for
yet more loot, catch up with doll
friends and explore Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps !
