50's Flashback Gene Convention
My Entries were:

Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and Lucille Ball in "The Long, Long, Trailer."
Both dolls were alot of fun to dress and coiffure and Lucy won 1st place in the 50's movie Daywear Catagory!

Heres Marilyns' close-up. She was entered in the
professional movie daywear catagory.

This entry is based on the 1950's movie titled "The Long, Long, Trailer" starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The dress she is wearing is the going away suit the main character "Tacey" wears after she and "Nicky" are wed. The doll used is a "Priceless", the perfect flaming redhead for "Lucy". Ken Bartram did her wonderful repaint, and I did the hair in the classic "Lucy Coiffure" This woolen suit is fully lined. It is a classic 50's full skirt with a short formfitting jacket, a buckled belt, the typical envelope purse of the time and "Lucy" hat.

A special thanks to my Husband Larry for being so supportive during the 4 week sewing marathon before the convention.
