| The American Cancer Society was the recipient of all the money raised from this auction. The auction was held after the Saturday night banquet. Everything rolled along quickly and smoothly as all the other events raising $18,745.00 for a very worthy cause. Bidding was brisk and it was punctuated by Harry Klien jumping up and down blowing a noise maker, and throwing confetti at some of the high points. Mel bought Jim Howard's "Devil is a Woman" after a brief bidding battle. Highest bids were brought by Morito's Choi Choi, and Cindy Lorimer's "Paloma's Wedding". |
