Musee
du Louvre is graced with an exterior that's a triumph of grandiloquent
French architecture. It's stately premises contain artistic
riches, with more paintings (around 3000,000) that can be
displayed at any one time.
Pictured here is the I.M. Pei glass pyramid in the courtyard.
Commissioned by Mitterrand and completed in1989, it has recieved
mixed reviews, but I really like it. |
